Dr. Nelson was born and raised right here in Austin, TX. She decided to stay close to home and was accepted to the University of Texas, where she met her husband. After completing her Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 08’ she was off to Optometry school in San Antonio, TX. Dr. Nelson successfully completed her Doctor of Optometry degree and became one of the inaugural doctoral graduates from the University of The Incarnate Word. When Dr. Nelson isn’t seeing patients you can often find her attending a local concert with her husband or fervently cheering on her Longhorns. Hook em!!
